Cooler of Cheer Fundraiser
The ladies are coordinating a fundraiser to raise money to offset unexpected expenses incurred with the club house. Please support this fundraiser by purchasing & selling the tickets at $5 each chance. Remember holidays are com-ing and don’t we all need some cheer. We are collecting donations of gift certificates, bottles & snacks to fill the cooler. Contact any officer for tickets and to make arrangements to pick up donations.
Hibernian Hunger Project/St. Joan of Arc Food Pantry
Division 87’s support of St. Joan of Arc’s Food pantry will be ongoing. The ladies will continue to collect non-perishable items at our meetings. Our brothers have arranged food drop off points at:
Gaul & Co. Malt House at Gaul & Clementine Sts.
Kensington Pub, 2116 E. Tioga St.
Krick Wuder Saloon on Bridge St.
We will also be collecting gently used pocketbooks for the next few months. Sister Lisa knows several agencies where they can be put to good use. Please put a penny for luck inside each one donated.
We will be making Thanksgiving Bags for the ladies and children at Providence House Shelter. If you would like, you can bring donations to the November meeting.
Our division has committed our support to the Pink Elephant fundraiser. This organization has done incredible work, mainly but not limited to our section of the city, for the families and children left behind due to the opioid epidemic. Both the AOH and the LAOH Division 87 have made monetary donations. What we need now is more volunteers to help direct runners and traffic at the many intersections involved. To date we have only a handful of volunteers. There’s still time to volunteer on 10/5 at Cione Playground. Contact our brother, Jim Carty at 215-917-3372 for details.
Apron/Tote Bag Fundraiser
LAOH Div 87 will be selling Aprons $15.00 and Tote Bags $10. All orders need to be placed by Nov. 15th and orders can be picked up at our December meeting. Aprons color are black, white, green or navy, with decal color of black, orange, white, or yellow/gold. Contact Bunny or Nancy Jones
