PRAYER CORNER

Prayer to Our Lady of Knock

Our Lady of Knock, Queen of Ireland, you gave hope to our people in a time of distress and comforted them in sorrow. You have inspired countless pilgrims to pray with confidence to your divine Son, remembering His promise: "Ask and you shall receive, Seek and you shall find". Help me to remember that we are all pilgrims on the road to heaven. Fill me with love and concern for my brothers and sisters in Christ, especially those who live with me. Comfort me when I am sick or lonely or depressed. Teach me how to take part ever more reverently in the holy Mass. Pray for me now, and at the hour of my death.

Amen.

Glory Be

EnglishGaelic

Glory be to the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. As it was in the beginning is now and ever shall be, world without end.

Amen.

Glóire don Athair is don Mhac is don Spriod Naomh, mar a bhí ar dtúis, mar atá fós, is mar a bheidh trí shaol na saol.

áiméin.

Our Father

English
Gaelic

Our Father, who art in Heaven,

hallowed be Thy name;

Thy Kingdom come,

Thy will be done on earth as it is in Heaven.

Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil.

Amen.

Ár nAthair, atá ar neamh,
Go naofar d'ainm.
Tiocfaí do ríocht.
Déantar do thoil ar an talamh mar a dhéantar

ar neamh.
Arán laethúil tabhair dúinn inniu.
Agus maith dúinn ár bhfiacha,
Mar a mhaithimidne dár bhféichiúnna féin.
Agus ná lig sinn i gcathú,
Ach saor sinn ó olc.

áiméin.

Hail Mary

EnglishGaelic

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee,

blessed art thou amongst women and blessed

is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus.

Holy Mary Mother of God,

pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death.

Amen

Sé do bheath' a Mhuire,
atá lán de ghrásta, tá an Tiarna leat.
Is beannaithe thú idir mná
agus is beannaithe toradh do bhruinne losa.
A Naomh Mhuire, a mháthair Dé,
guí orainn na peacaithe, anois is ar uair ar mbás.

áiméin.
